University of Pennsylvania student melanoma presentation 2023

PSMRF conducted its 10th melanoma presentation to the first year medical students at the University of Pennsylvania. The presentation provided the medical students with their first opportunity to hear from two stage four patients and interact with them.

2023 Annual Coach Wilk Golf Tournament for the Benefit of the Peggy Spiegler Melanoma Research Foundation

This year’s outing drew our largest crowds ever. We were one player short of selling out the outing. The short period of rain did not dampen anyone’s spirit.
Thanks to all our participants and sponsors. We look forward to our 2024 event. While a date has not been set, we know it will be towards the end of August 2024.

11TH ANNUAL “COACH WILK” GOLF TOURNAMENT THURSDAY, AUGUST 18, 2022

The Peggy Spiegler Melanoma Research Foundation held its annual golf outing in memory of George Wilkinson, a melanoma warrior.

The weather was perfect, and the turnout was great. We had some great scores and even had a hole in one. Prizes were given to the top 3 foursomes and longest drives and closest to the hole.

Thanks to McCullough’s Emerald Golf and the Vagabond Restaurant for helping to make the day a great success.

The funds that were raised will go towards our campaign to erect sunshade shelters in our communities.

On Thursday August 26th PSMRF held its 10th Annual Golf Outing in honor of George “Coach Wilk” Wilkinson. The weather was perfect and for the second year in a row we sold out the outing.
Thanks to everyone who participated, our loyal sponsors and everyone at McCulloughs Emerald Links Golf Course in Egg Harbor Township New Jersey.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone again next year.

PSMRF had its Ninth annual Golf Outing on  August 28^th at McCullough’s Emerald Golf Links. The event was a huge success. We sold the course out.

We want to thank all of our participants and sponsors for all of their support under very difficult circumstances.
Congratulations to our top finishers and the winners on our longest drive holes and closest to the pin holes.
Thanks of course to the Wilkinson family for allowing us to honor Coach George Wilkinson and the amazing person that he was.

More than 300 walkers, runners and volunteers participated in the activities. The proceeds from this event supported our medical partners’ melanoma related programs, the Abramson Cancer Center PennMedicineand the MD Anderson Cooper Cancer Center.

Defeat Melanoma Forum

PSMRF was one of the hosting foundations for a Defeat Melanoma Foundation Forum. Foundations which support melanoma research from six states attended to discuss ways that they could join together to create a national event to raise funds to fight melanoma.

Casino night

PSMRF’s Third Annual Casino Nightwas a great success. The funds that were raised are benefitting the Abramson Cancer Center Penn Medicine to support their melanoma research programs.
